The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Switch On To The Cheapest Gas Tariff

As a busy business owner, you will probably be juggling several roles to manage and also grow your business without having the time to switch onto the cheapest gas tariff to reduce overheads.

However, switching will undoubtedly save you money on your gas bill even though this opportunity is probably not at the top of your to-do list.

This means you will need to find someone to carry out this exercise on your behalf and the D-Energi team has the experience and expertise to do this effectively.

Alternatively, you could contact potential gas suppliers directly or use an online comparison site for this purpose.

Compare business gas prices between providers

There are obvious downsides to the last two routes particularly when you want to compare business gas prices between providers because the site may not be searching all of the suppliers available to find the best deal for your needs.

This will mean that there could be better and cheaper offers available that will never come to your attention.

Despite this, sourcing a quote from D-Energi is not only easy but quick since the expert team will scour the marketplace to find the cheapest gas tariff available.

This process only takes a few minutes and if you like the offer the team finds for you then they can also undertake the switchover process so there’s no need to worry about any of the paperwork that is involved.

Seeking a new commercial gas quote

It’s this ability to take the hassle out of seeking a new commercial gas quote for your firm’s needs that will make your life easier and reduce overheads.

This exercise should be undertaken every year when your current supplier gets in touch with your contract details for the coming year – because if you don’t respond to the supplier’s offer, then they could move you onto a ‘deemed’ rate for your energy needs which tend to be dearer.

However, if you don’t switch then you will not be alone since a government survey highlights that around 40% of firms in the UK have never switched their energy providers and are probably overpaying for their energy needs.

Do not let this be you because the D-Energi team can help you switch onto the cheapest gas tariff available and deal with the switching process so you can focus on running your business.
