The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to Compare Business Gas Prices in 2020

by D-ENERGi

We all know that energy prices fluctuate regularly, so how do you compare business gas prices in 2020 to find the best deal for meeting your needs?

The simple and easiest way is to contact the experts at D-Energi who can search the entire market and, in just a few minutes, source the cheapest and best tariff for meeting your firm’s needs.

And while no-one has a crystal ball to predict what 2020’s business gas prices will be, you could sign up for a longer deal such as two or three years since a provider may offer even lower rates to encourage you to do so.

You probably need to consider this decision very carefully, or you may opt for a variable or fixed business gas rates. So if you believe prices will rise, then a fixed tariff will best meet your needs because you will know how much your bills will be.

Alternatively, you could opt for a variable business gas rate so the price you pay will rise and fall in line with wholesale market movements and this may better suit your firm’s needs.

Finding the cheapest business gas prices

So when it comes to finding the cheapest business gas prices, the expertise of the team at D-Energi will help remove a major headache from your shoulders.

Essentially, this means that you will not have to trawl the Internet to find potential business gas suppliers in the UK and then having to negotiate directly with them, which could take up time and very often a confusing undertaking.

This also means that by using the experts you won’t have to use a business gas comparison website and while these platforms will give a good indication of what the market rate for your firm’s needs will be they are probably not searching all of the marketplaces. You should always check beforehand how many suppliers they will approach for a quote.

It’s also possible that you may be requiring something more specific, such as an energy consultancy to help your firm reduce its gas consumption levels so you can not only boost your environmental credentials but also deliver even bigger savings.

There’s a lot to recommend an energy consultancy, which may also highlight better ways of working and will extend to reducing electricity usage in your firm too.
