The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Your Checklist for A Business Energy Comparison

For most busy business owners, undertaking a business energy comparison exercise is a time-consuming distraction.

However, this checklist will help achieve this exercise quickly and efficiently.

Put simply, the best way to carry out a business energy comparison is to ask the experts at D-Energi to do this on your behalf.

They can and will quickly search the entire market to find the best possible deal, but why should you just use them?

Business electricity comparison

The answer is that, unlike business energy comparison websites, the team can carry out the business electricity comparison for you.

The alternative is to use the Internet to find a comparison site, but you should check beforehand how many suppliers they are asking for a quote.

It’s likely that they will not be asking every supplier, so there could be better deals available that you will not be asked to consider.

In addition, the team at D-Energi have lots of expertise in helping firms access small business electricity prices and can explain the offered contract as well.

Carry out a business gas comparison exercise

The service also extends to those firms wanting to carry out a business gas comparison exercise to find cheaper a supplier.

And while most firms are not spending as much on their gas bill as they are for electricity, it’s still worth spending time and effort in sourcing a new provider and there are two very good reasons for this:

  • Not only will you ensure that you are not overpaying on your energy needs
  • But you will also be helping to stimulate competition in the small business energy supplier marketplace.

Some firms may also be wary about the switchover process but this can be carried out by the team at D-Energi and you will be reassured that there is no loss of supply when you do decide to switch providers.

In addition, the team will remind you when your contract is due to run out so they can search for a better and cheaper deal and help move you to the new supplier. Their aim is to help ensure that you never overpay on your firm’s energy needs.

If you are a busy business owner looking for a checklist that you can use for a business energy comparison, then you could save time and trouble by simply calling the friendly team at D-Energi first.
