The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Who is the Cheapest Business Electricity Supplier?

by D-ENERGi

For any business owner searching for the cheapest business electricity supplier, then there’s no easy answer to find out which provider will always have the lowest prices.

That’s because electricity prices will fluctuate regularly because of wholesale market activity.

It’s this activity which then influences the market offering to businesses and organisations but there are other considerations too.

The price being quoted by a supplier will depend on where your premises are, what your electricity demand is and even how many employees you have.

Also, any plans for expansion will also be taken into account as this will mean a greater demand for electricity over the coming year or the length of the contract.

Finding the cheapest business electricity rates UK

There’s no doubt that when it comes to finding the cheapest business electricity rates UK that research is vital.

That’s because there’s only one way to ensure that your business enjoys the cheapest electricity deal and that is to compare all business electricity suppliers.

While you could contact electricity suppliers directly, this can take a lot of time and since they must offer a bespoke deal, you may struggle to compare them.

There is another way to check business electricity rates in the UK and that is to use an online comparison site.

However, the sites do not usually check all potential suppliers and you will still need to negotiate directly with a recommended provider.
