The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

What Are Business Electricity Prices Per Kwh?

by D-ENERGi

The best way of sourcing a new energy deal is to find lower business electricity prices per kWh but that’s not the entire story.

That’s because you will also need to understand what the standing charge a potential new supplier may be offering.

The importance of understanding the difference between the two, and what the total bill will be for each per year, will help you source a cheaper electricity provider as a result.

The issue for a busy business owner is that comparing cheap business electricity tariffs and prices between various suppliers are less straightforward than it is when comparing a deal for our homes.

Compare business electricity prices per kWh

The reason for this is that there are many more tariffs and plans available, which means you will need to compare business electricity prices per kWh very carefully indeed.

Not only will you be calculating how much your new supplier will be costing you, you’ll need to know whether their tariff is right for your needs and this will depend on the nature of your business, where you are located and its size.

However, even a small enterprise could save hundreds of pounds every year by switching their business electricity provider to a cheaper offer and the transition for doing is seamless.

The best way of doing this is to get several quotes from various providers and compare their offering.

Understand business gas prices per kWh

This exercise of comparing electricity prices also extends to those who want to understand business gas prices per kWh.

The same issue will remain in that the business needs to understand their unit charge for the gas they are using and also the standing charges.

Again, while a potential new business gas supplier may offer a lower rate per kilowatt hour for gas, they may offer much more in their standing charge, so there’s no saving to be made.

A quick way to see if there are savings available is to use a comparison website, add a few details and then see what the potential market rate is for your business.

You will still need to speak with the recommended supplier directly even though the website may not be searching the entire marketplace, so there could be deals that are better suited to your needs and are cheaper also.

If you want to know more about business electricity prices per kWh and how you can save on your energy bills by switching providers, then it’s time to speak with the experts at D-Energi.
