The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Simple Way to Lower Business Gas Rates

For many busy business owners, it may be hard to believe but there is a simple way to lower business gas rates so you reduce overheads and boost profits.

Here, we will explain more about the process about how you can go about finding a cheaper provider for your business gas needs but the simple way is to simply contact the experts at D-Energi who can search the entire market to find you a cheaper, better deal than you currently have.

Otherwise, you could contact providers directly for a gas business quote but when you compare their deals you should appreciate:

  • Check their quote over the length of the contract
  • This means not fixating on the business gas prices per kWh (Kilowatt hour), or the unit rate
  • You’ll need to understand that the standing charge could be much higher
  • Know when your contract ends
  • Ask for an additional discount.

Search for a business gas supplier

This search for a business gas supplier can be time-consuming when you contact them individually and you may be tempted to use a business gas comparison website for this purpose.

While the sites undoubtedly offer convenience and a quick way to find out what the market rate will be for a firm of your size and location, there’s more to it than that.

Perhaps the biggest downside to an online business gas comparison platform is that they are probably not searching the entire market so you should check how many providers they will approach with your details.

In most cases, this means that there are likely to be cheaper and better providers willing to supply you who may not be approached to quote.

With the D-Energi offering, that’s not the case because the friendly team will search the entire market for you.

Business gas supply market

The business gas supply market is a competitive one, and when you find a new provider you will be boosting profitability.

It’s also possible to enjoy further savings if you sign up for a longer contract, for example up to three years, or even accessing an energy consultancy.

With a consultancy, experts will look at how you can reduce your gas consumption levels to deliver greater savings.

In addition, you may have specific needs, such as wanting a dedicated account manager who may be of great help.

If you want to know the simple way to lower business gas rates, then you should contact the experts at D-Energi today to see how much they can save you and your business.
