The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

The FAST Way to Switch Business Electricity Supplier

If you believe your firm is paying too much for its electricity, then it’s time to switch your business electricity supplier to enjoy a better deal.

In the search for a new provider, you will need to appreciate that there are no off-the-shelf solutions or dual fuel deals available for meeting a firm’s energy needs.

This means that as a busy business owner, you may be facing the prospect of contacting several suppliers, giving them the same details until you find a deal suitable for you.

Instead, it makes more sense to carry out this search more quickly and there are two avenues available to find the cheapest electricity supplier for small businesses.

Accessing cheap business electricity rates

One quick way of accessing cheap business electricity rates is to use a platform that will compare business electricity prices online for you.

These websites are quick and easy to use and offer a way of finding the potential market rate for the size and location of your firm.

However, before you compare business electricity prices online, there are a number of issues that you should be aware of.

Firstly, the platform may only approach a restricted number of suppliers so you should always check beforehand just how many will be asked to provide a quote.

You will also need to contact the recommended supplier because you must negotiate a bespoke deal for meeting your needs.

What then appears to be an easy way to find a cheap business electricity quote becomes more involved because you are not searching the entire market and you still need to spend time negotiating directly.

Finding a cheap business electricity tariff

The alternative to finding a cheap business electricity tariff and searching the entire marketplace for this is to speak with the friendly team of experts at D-Energi.

As with an online business comparison site, they’ll take some details and then on your behalf they will search the market for the best deal available.

They can also explain the finer points of why that deal is for you and you may, for example, ask for a dedicated account manager to help resolve any potential issues with your electricity supply.

The team can also deal with the switching process – so when it comes to finding the fast way to switch business electricity supply and reduce your bills, you need to speak with the D-Energi team today.
