The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

D-ENERGi would like to commend the Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and all civil servants involved working around the clock to implement the Energy Bill Relief Scheme. We appreciate BEIS efforts in working with all non-domestic suppliers over the last few weeks. We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following:

  • The scheme is only open to customers which have signed agreements with their suppliers from the 1st April 2022 onwards. The Energy Bill Relief Scheme comes into effect from the 1st October and a discount will be applied until 31st March 2023.
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • As portrayed in some media outlets there is no price cap for businesses. The price cap is on the wholesale element price only. Please do not expect the unit rates of 21.1 p/kwh for electricity and 7.5 p/kwh for gas to appear on your bills. These rates do not include the many other non-commodity costs which make up your bill for both gas and electricity.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to switch to cheap business energy

by D-ENERGi

There must be lots of organisations and businesses in the UK looking at the darker colder evenings and wondering how they can switch to cheap business energy deals to save money.

The answer is quite simply to contact the experts at D-Energi to find out what they can find from the entire business energy market.

There are many reasons for switching business energy supplies and the main one is that the business will save money – by not switching energy supplier they will not be paying the lowest energy rates currently available.

So, while businesses may introduce various energy saving tactics within the business, for instance switching off lights when leaving the office, they could save much more by simply finding a new business energy supplier.

The best cheap business electricity deals

Many firms will be tempted to simply roll over their contract and accept the offer from their current supplier but this could be much higher than the supplier’s rivals may be offering and will probably see the business missing out on the best cheap business electricity deals available.

It’s understandable that more firms do not switch energy suppliers because they are so focused on the everyday needs of the business that it is probably an issue they do not have time to think about. That is quite an expensive stance to take.

That’s because, on average, most firms would save around £1,500 by switching to a lower business energy tariff. That’s not just money saved, that’s a boost to profitability too.

The easiest and most compelling way of finding out whether switching would make financial sense is to contact the experts at D-Energi with a recent energy bill and put them to the test to find out what offers and tariffs are currently available on the market.

Find the best cheap business gas offers

It’s also important to appreciate that these deals, and they will extend to find the best cheap business gas offers too, will often change on a daily basis but with all of us facing higher energy bills in the months and years to come it makes sense to switch suppliers on a regular basis to ensure that the business is not one of those that simply accepts what it supplier will charge.

So, when it comes to anyone wanting to know how to switch to cheap business energy means contacting the helpful team at D-Energi to discover which of the latest deals from business energy suppliers will suit them the best and save them lots of money in the process.
