The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Sourcing A New Business Energy Solution Provider

by D-ENERGi

When it comes to sourcing a new business energy solution provider, it’s not just about reducing overheads and boosting profitability.

There are other issues involved as well including improved levels of customer service and the chance to enjoy accurate billing and the opportunity of having an energy consultancy.

It’s this consultancy that will see an expert examine how your firm uses energy and make recommendations for you to use less and help deliver impressive long-term savings when doing so.

The recommendations may mean investing in new, energy-efficient equipment and the consultant may look at your previous energy bills to see whether you have been overcharged and then help with any refund processes.

Switch energy providers

The most effective way of reducing your energy bill costs is to switch energy providers and the process is straightforward.

Despite this, around 40% of firms have not switched their energy provider in recent years, a government survey has revealed.

The switchover process is seamless and for those business owners worried that there may be a loss of energy supply to their premises, then there’s no need to fear because this will not happen – the industry is still monitored closely by Ofgem who ensure everything works as it should do.

Indeed, sourcing a new energy provider can be a time-consuming process, particularly if you contact them directly but also if you use one of the popular business energy comparison sites.

While these sites offer a quick way of finding a competitive rate for your energy needs, you’ll still need to negotiate with the recommended supplier because they have to deliver a bespoke quote that meets your requirements.

Energy switch to a cheaper supplier

Otherwise, when it comes to an energy switch to a cheaper supplier you will see overheads being lowered and profits boosted.

This means that the time it takes finding a new supplier will be well rewarded but perhaps the most efficient way of finding a new energy supplier is to speak with the experts at D-Energi who can search the entire marketplace and find a deal that best meets your needs.

Also, the team can take care of the energy switchover process on your behalf.

If you and your business would like to know more about sourcing a new business energy solution provider to reduce your overheads, then it’s time to contact the experts at D-Energi.
