The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

1 EASY way to get lower business gas prices per kWh

by D-ENERGi

Are you and your firm overpaying for your business gas prices per kWh (kilowatt-hour)? If so, then there is one easy way to reduce your bills.

Put simply, you need to speak with the experts at D-Energi who can search the entire market on your behalf to find a better deal.

You won’t be alone if you are overpaying for your firm’s gas supply since one government survey has revealed that around 40% of firms have not bothered switching their energy provider in recent years.

This complacency means that they have probably been moved across automatically to more expensive out of contract rates when switching to a new provider is straightforward and easy for firms today.

Business electricity prices per kWh

The same situation also exists for business electricity prices per kWh and you should check the market every year to ensure you are on the best rates possible.

Even a one-man operation can save money by switching their business utility providers every year.

The savings in small business electricity prices will vary and it is highly likely that you will reduce your overheads to boost profitability by simply searching the entire market and then switching to a new provider.

It helps that the D-Energi team can find these cheaper deals and then take care of the paperwork for the switchover process to take place – and there is no loss of utility supply when you decide to move providers.

Ways to compare business electricity prices per kWh

There are various ways to compare business electricity prices per kWh between suppliers and they are:

  • Contact providers individually: This is obviously a time-consuming and often confusing process as you speak with a range of suppliers, giving them the same details and trying to work out what their bespoke offers mean.
  • Online business energy comparison sites: Another opportunity to search various providers, but it’s unlikely the platform has access to the entire market. You will still need to negotiate directly with the recommended supplier.
