The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to Source Half Hourly Electricity Tariffs

by D-ENERGi

If your business is a large consumer of energy then you will need to know how to source half hourly electricity tariffs, so you never overpay on your bills again.

Only large consumers of electricity will have half-hour meters installed, which sees the consumption data being sent to the supplier every 30 minutes.

Along with having accurate bills, these half hourly meter recordings enable a firm to access half hourly electricity tariffs which tend to be much lower than for the deals being offered to small and medium-sized firms.

In addition, this means that even a small reduction in the unit rate you pay for electricity could deliver, potentially, huge savings.

Search the market for a half hourly electricity quote

However, when you search the market for a half hourly electricity quote you can use the data that has been generated by your business for a potential new supplier to use.

This means they can tailor their offering to better meet your needs with a suitable tariff that should reduce bills.

On top of this, you can also use the data to help you reduce consumption levels by analysing how and when you could reduce electricity consumption by switching to low-energy equipment or switching production from more expensive peak demand tariffs, for example.

So, the big question when it comes to sourcing a new half hourly electricity deal is accessing those suppliers who want to sign you up as a new customer with a great new deal.

Procurement process for half hourly electricity supply

The procurement process for half hourly electricity supply is more complicated than it is for small and medium-size firms and it’s also why the regulator Ofgem says that firms need expert help.

One of the best ways of accessing the entire market and expertise of those who understand the contracts and needs of customers is to speak with the D-Energi team.

In addition to searching the whole market of providers, they can also deal with the paperwork and the switchover process, so the transition between one provider and a new supplier is seamless.

The team will remind you to search for a new half hourly electricity tariff every year to ensure you never overpay and all firms with a half-hour meter installed should do this six months before their current deal comes to an end.

If you would like more help and information about how your business can source half hourly electricity tariffs to save money, then you need to contact the D-Energi team today.
