The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to Source Cheap Business Energy Deals

If you are a business owner worried about rising energy prices and want to know how to source cheap business energy deals, then this article will help.

There’s no reason to be paying more than you should be doing for your energy needs and you should check every year to see if there are cheaper deals available from other small business energy suppliers.

Indeed, even a small reduction in the unit price you pay for your electricity could deliver big savings which will boost profitability.

However, it’s recommended that you don’t join the 40% of firms that a government survey reveals have not bothered switching in recent years because it’s likely they are paying more for their energy as a consequence.

Comparing cheap business electricity deals

Comparing cheap business electricity deals can be a quick and easy process to deliver a ‘quick win’ for your business.

Alternatively, you could contact commercial electricity suppliers directly, negotiate with them and try to compare their bespoke deals effectively.

This is obviously a time-consuming and often confusing process in a bid to find the cheapest business electricity deal.

Or, you could use a business electricity comparison website that makes this process easier though you need to check whether they are searching the entire market because it’s likely they are not.

Cheap business gas deals

As with electricity, firms should also seek out cheap business gas deals every year when their commercial gas renewal lands.

This is the prompt for you to find a cheaper deal and the quickest and most effective way of searching the market is to ask the team at D-Energi to do this for you.

They will simply take a few details and in minutes search and compare the market to find a great deal and then explain the contract and any terms you may not understand.

In addition, they will remind you when this contract comes up for renewal and help you search the market to find a new provider to meet your needs.

This will not only save you time but bring reassurance that the entire market of small business energy suppliers is being searched in the hunt for the cheapest and best deal for you.

Essentially, if you need to know how to source cheap business energy deals, then you need to speak with the team at D-Energi today.
