The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to Save on Business Electricity?

A great time to see if you can save on business electricity is if you are moving to new business premises – this can help prevent you from paying over the odds.

What will happen if I don’t compare business energy prices?

If you move to new business premises without taking the time to compare business energy per kWh prices, then you may end up paying the previous tenant’s business energy supplier at an ‘out of contract rate’ which tends to be very high.

How can I get a better business energy deal?

Make sure that you take the time to perform a business energy comparison before you move premises, and make the switch to a cheaper supplier as soon as possible. If you use both business electricity and business gas then make sure you get a quote for both. You are not tied into using the same supplier as the previous tenant, so make sure you get in touch with D-ENERGi and we can search the entire market for you to make sure you get the best deal.

How do I set up a business energy contract?

Checking prices for business energy contracts yourself can be very time consuming, which is why the team at D-ENERGI are here to take the hassle out of it for you. We search the entire market on your behalf, to find you the best deal which will save you the most money in the long run. You will also deal with a dedicated account manager who will always be on hand to deal with your enquiries.

With over 18 years of experience, we know that the best business energy deal is not just about saving money – although saving money can help your businesses bottom line immensely. We want to know as much as we can about your business so that we can find a deal that is exactly tailored to your needs, according to Lofty Property Management. This could be a green supplier as you are interested in sustainability, or you want a lower standing charge, or even that you want to have the same supplier for multiple premises.

The D-ENERGi team can get you quotes for a variety of business options, and we will explain these options to you so that you can make a more informed decision. We will keep things simple as well so that you know exactly what is being offered.
