The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How to Enjoy the Cheapest Business Electricity Rates UK

by D-ENERGi

One of the most effective ways for a firm to lower their overheads is to switch energy suppliers but how do you know whether you are enjoying the cheapest business electricity rates UK?

The fact is that unless you research the market thoroughly, you probably don’t know whether you are on the best price tariff for your firm’s needs.

While there are online comparison sites for firms to check what energy providers have an offer, the site may not be searching the entire marketplace and from the deal that you like, you will still need to speak with the recommended supplier.

This is so the supplier can offer a bespoke quote that is designed to meet your firm’s needs but this also means it is more difficult to compare offers between suppliers.

Finding the cheapest business electricity supplier

So, finding the cheapest business electricity supplier can be more time-consuming than many business owners will believe but there is help at hand.

In addition to contacting suppliers directly and using an online energy comparison site, you could speak with the business electricity experts at D-Energi who have access to the entire marketplace.

Once a new supplier has been sourced, the switchover process itself is seamless and there’s no loss of energy to your premises when this is undertaken. This will bring peace of mind to many firms who may believe that switching is too troublesome for them to begin.

This could not be further from the truth and a government survey has highlighted that 40% of firms in the UK have never bothered switching their energy supplier so they are, probably, paying more than they need to for their energy needs.

There’s also the risk that these firms prefer to stick with one of the ‘Big Six’ energy suppliers when smaller suppliers have better deals and offers and other services to offer as well.

Finding the cheapest business electricity prices

Essentially, finding the cheapest business electricity prices will take some effort and you’ll need to provide various pieces of information to a potential supplier so they can tailor their offering to meet your needs. Obviously, speaking to several suppliers and offering the same information can also appear to be a waste of time if they come back with similar offers.

However, the process to find a cheaper business electricity tariff will be time well spent because of the potential savings to be made and some suppliers will also offer a consultancy to help you and your business save even more money over the long term.

They will do this by looking at how you use energy currently and then recommending ways to use less; this may entail investing in new equipment that is more energy-efficient or introducing ways to switch off lights automatically, for example.

Whatever your needs might be when it comes to finding the cheapest business electricity rates UK, it will be time well spent speaking with the helpful team at D-Energi who can search the entire marketplace and even source a supplier offering a consultancy service as well to boost the cost savings to be made.
