The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

How Much is Business Gas Per kWh?

by D-ENERGi

One of the easiest, and quickest, ways to save money as a business is to compare business gas tariffs and switch to a cheaper one.

Research has shown that only around 33% of SME businesses switch their business energy supplier annually, which means that around 2.93 million companies are being overcharged.

D-ENERGi has made it as easy as possible to compare business energy prices to make sure you are getting the best deal possible. We help lots of businesses every year save on their energy prices by switching business gas suppliers.

We work with a variety of businesses in many different industries.

What are the average business gas prices?

It can be hard to say exactly what you should be paying for business gas. With prices increasing all the time it has never been more important to take control of your business energy bills and save money.

Business gas prices tend to depend on several factors and are often dependent on the length of the contract. For example, a business selecting a 1-year contract will likely face paying higher rates than a business selecting a 2-year fixed-rate contract.

While you may not want to tie yourself into a longer contract, the fact is they tend to offer the best prices.

How are business gas prices calculated?

Business gas prices are calculated in a different way to domestic gas prices and are affected by several different things, including:

  • Business location
  • Current spends on business gas
  • Energy market activity
  • Overall consumption levels
  • Size of business premises
  • Type of business gas meter
