The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Half Hourly Electricity Tariffs for Your Firms

by D-ENERGi

While sourcing a new energy deal may not be at the top of your to-do list, it’s important that you understand half hourly electricity tariffs for your firm.

Firstly, not taking the time to scour the market to find a cheaper and better deal may mean that your company or organisation is rolled automatically onto a new contract.

While this may make life easier for a busy business owner, these new contract rates tend to be much higher – and could be up to 30% more than you need to be paying.

That’s the price of inactivity but if you are organised, then you can avoid this situation and the team at D-Energi can help.

Sourcing a new half hourly electricity quote

Essentially, when it comes to sourcing a new half hourly electricity quote, then only those businesses that have a high energy demand will be able to access these half hour electricity prices.

These costs tend to be much cheaper than those being paid by small and medium-sized companies and you’ll have a half hourly meter already installed – if you aren’t sure then check your bill.

It’s this meter that is used for taking accurate energy readings and there’s no need for estimated bills when you have one installed.

The other bonus for having a half hourly meter is that you as a business and a potential supplier can also access this data to see when and how you are using energy so a supplier can tailor their offering to match your needs.

Using your energy usage data to find a new business supplier

In addition to using your energy usage data to find a new business supplier, you can use it to reduce consumption too.

This means that once you know when your electricity spending peaks, it is possible to move energy-intensive processes to lower rates.

If you aren’t able to do this, then you should consider energy efficiency programs to help offset the cost of energy usage and this is where an energy consultancy can help.

Indeed, some potential new suppliers may offer an energy consultancy for this purpose so, in addition to accessing cheaper rates, your savings will be compounded with lower consumption levels.

If you would like to know more about half hourly electricity tariffs for your firm and how to access these cheaper deals, then you need to speak with the friendly team at D-Energi.
