The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Get a commercial energy quote and save £££’s

by D-ENERGi

All businesses and organisations need to be looking at their running costs to ensure they remain competitive and finding a commercial energy quote that could reduce their outgoings could be crucial.

Firms of all shapes and sizes regularly check the market to see what’s on offer to help reduce their energy costs and these can include looking at a fixed price energy plan.

A plan like this will have fixed energy prices for up to three years so the business will know what its energy bills are going to be and they don’t need to worry about increasing electricity prices.

This issue also leads onto ‘deemed rates’ which are for those businesses who are not on a fixed price energy plan.

The business may instead be on a high electricity tariff, for instance, which is known as a deemed rate and by switching to cheaper tariffs they will, obviously, save money.

Get a multisite commercial energy quote

It’s also possible to get a multisite commercial energy quote which will make planning easier for the business since the sites will run under the same energy price tariff.

The main aim is for a business or organisation to take control of their energy costs and they should monitor their energy usage by recording meter readings and then contacting energy providers to see if they can get cheaper prices.

Or, as growing numbers of firms and organisations are doing, they could contact D-Energi who can help access a wide range of business energy suppliers and get the best tariffs available.

It should also be appreciated that the process of finding cheaper energy tariffs is not just for established businesses or organisations, such as schools and hospitals, but also for new establishments.

For those who want a new business electricity meter installing then this is a good opportunity to find the best possible tariffs and locking into low rates before the inevitable rise in energy prices over the next year or two.

Business energy providers offer a range of commercial energy prices

Business energy providers offer a range of commercial energy prices, contracts and contract lengths which can be confusing but it is possible to sign up for a flexible contract that delivers the lowest business energy rates quite easily.

Remember, getting a commercial energy quote is a straightforward process which could lead to the organisation saving a lot of money on their energy costs – money they do not need to be spending currently and which will boost their profitability instead; so for the best help and advice in switching energy suppliers contact the helpful team at D-Energi.
