The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Enjoy the Best Cheap Business Gas Supplier

For businesses both small and large, the best way to enjoy a cheap business gas supplier is to use the services of an organisation that understands how the energy market works to find the best deals.

There’s no doubt that by finding the right gas tariff, a firm will save money on their energy bill and boost profits by doing so.

However, they will need to source quotes from separate suppliers in order to compare the available tariffs effectively.

This is essential because the price of business gas being charged to a firm will depend on the organisation’s circumstances.

Looking for cheap business gas and electric deals

This need to source individual quotes will be the same for any organisation looking for cheap business gas and electric deals and there are a number of issues they will need to consider, which will include:

  • Appreciating how much gas and electricity the firm will be using
  • The business size since some tariffs may not apply
  • The firm’s address as some energy firms may not be able to supply

Other issues that need to be addressed for any firm looking for better gas and electric deals is whether they are thinking of expanding over the next year or two or indeed whether they will move premises.

This last issue may also have an impact on the deal being offered, since firms with more than one premises may be able to enjoy better energy prices.

Also, while many firms may be happy to use online comparison services there are some issues with doing so.

Price for a new energy deal

The best reason for using these sites is that the firm will be able to access lots of quotes from different suppliers and these will help them negotiate a price for a new energy deal.

There are two issues to bear in mind and the first is that the comparison website may not be looking at the entire business energy market.

The second point is that the excellent deal being offered on the site may not be the same when the firm speaks with the supplier directly to negotiate a deal.

However, they will be able to use the information they’ve gleaned from an online comparison website to help negotiate a better deal because these prices will be the current market rates for energy.

Having said that, the best way for a firm to find a cheap business gas supplier is to speak with the experts at D-Energi who will have access to the latest and best deals and tariffs available for the firm’s needs.
