The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Do You Compare Business Gas Providers

by D-ENERGi

When your current gas supplier gets in touch with details of your next contract, do you compare business gas providers to find a cheaper, better deal?

If not, then you’ll be joining around 40% of other firms in the UK who also do not carry out a comparison between suppliers to see whether they can buy their gas more cheaply.

For most firms, it’s highly likely that by switching gas suppliers you will enjoy cheaper bills but unless you search the market place, how will you know?

The easiest way is to contact the D-Energi team who will, on your behalf, search the entire market and find a deal that will best meet your firm’s needs.

Compare business electricity suppliers

This issue also extends to those firms who do not compare business electricity suppliers on a regular basis because all firms should do this every year to ensure they never pay more than they should be doing for their energy needs.

While you may believe that all suppliers will be charging similar rates, it is possible to save up to 20% by simply switching business gas or electricity providers and also enjoy other benefits from a new supplier.

For example, this may include the opportunity of having one bill to cover the energy supply to several premises or better levels of customer service.

There’s also the tantalising prospect of having an energy consultancy which will help you and your business use less energy and enjoy even greater savings as a result.

Compare business energy deals between providers

The best time to compare business energy deals between providers is when your current supplier gets in touch with your next year’s contract details which effectively opens a window of opportunity that you should exploit.

While searching the marketplace can be a time-consuming process, and often boring because you need to give the supplier the same details every time, it should be rewarded with lower energy costs.

There are comparison sites available to make this process quicker but the sites may not search the whole of the market and there could be better and cheaper deals available.

Essentially, the most effective way for your firm to compare business gas providers, as well as electricity suppliers, is to speak with the experts at D-Energi who can, in a few minutes, search the entire marketplace and find a deal that will meet your needs and potentially be much cheaper as well.
