The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Why compare business energy suppliers?

There’s an easy answer as to why a firm should compare business energy suppliers and that is to save money.

It’s important to appreciate that business energy tariffs are not like the ones for our homes and they work differently and the pricing for business energy use also changes from one day to the next.

This means it’s important that a business either has someone dedicated to finding the ideal business energy deal when they need to renew their contract or approach experts in the field who can analyse the entire market offering to find the best deal available.

Indeed, businesses will find that the market for their business is a competitive one and not all businesses use the same amount of energy but they also use it in different ways.

Compare business electricity tariffs

For this reason, a business should really have a business deal tailor-made to their needs and if they have more than one site then it is possible to get a multisite energy deal to save even more money and this is an easy process when looking to compare business electricity tariffs.

In addition, any firm looking for a multisite energy deal will find they will not only save money but also time because all of their energy bills can be put on one tariff.

Also, the energy market is moving towards half hourly metering so they will receive more accurate meter readings and a business energy supplier will know exactly when and what the businesses energy needs are.

Save substantial amounts by looking to compare business gas suppliers

It’s not just a question of comparing business electricity suppliers since a firm can save substantial amounts by looking to compare business gas suppliers too.

No one wants to overpay on the energy needs but for those firms who simply roll-over their contract with their existing supplier means they could be saving substantial amounts of money every year.

Some business owners may be wary that the search for a better business energy deal may be a time-consuming and complicated process which is why it makes sense to use experts to help find the best available deal.

For any business looking to compare business energy suppliers then it will be time well spent by speaking with the helpful team at D-Energi for more information since they will have access to the market’s latest deals and tariffs.
