The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Are You On The Best Business Energy Prices?

Unless you scour the commercial energy market on a regular basis, how will you know if you are on the best business energy prices for your needs?

The simple answer is, that you won’t do.

That’s a shame when there are lots of providers offering a range of deals and tariffs that will help firms to reduce their overheads by providing cheaper energy for their needs.

Sourcing a new provider is simple and straightforward and encouraged by the government to help stimulate competition in the electricity supply market.

A new business energy supplier

Finding a new business energy supplier can be done when your current provider gets in touch with details of what your next year’s contract rates will be.

You could contact suppliers directly but you’ll need to give each of the details of your current usage and this can be a time-consuming and frustrating process.

An easy way is to use an online comparison site to check a range of suppliers to see whether there are big savings to be made; the issue here is that the site may not be searching the entire marketplace so there may be better deals and offers available.

One easier way and this will take just a few minutes, is to contact the D-Energi team who can check the whole market for business energy and find a deal that will suit you and save you a substantial amount of money.

Switch their business energy provider

According to the watchdog Ofgem, most firms will save around £300 on average every year when they switch their business energy provider.

Indeed, the D-Energi team can take care of the seamless process and there’s no loss of supply to a firm’s premises when they decide to switch providers.

There are larger savings to be made should a firm decide to sign up for more than one year but some providers also offer a consultancy to help the firm use less energy and reduce their bills even further.

The consultancy will also look at how and when the firm is using energy and make recommendations to bring usage levels down and also the possibility of investing in newer energy saving equipment to replace older items that use a lot of energy.

If you would like to find the best energy prices to help you reduce overheads, then the team of experts at D-Energi can help.
