The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Are Commercial Energy Prices All The Same?

by D-ENERGi

No business should be paying more than they need to for their business energy and it’s a false assumption to believe that all commercial energy prices are the same.

That’s because there’s a lot of competition in the marketplace to attract your business as a new customer with great deals and offers.

For firms who don’t bother switching energy providers on a regular basis, then they are likely to be paying more than they need for their energy needs.

Indeed, one government survey highlights that 40% of firms in the UK have never switched energy suppliers.

Needing a commercial energy supply of electricity and gas

That’s a shame because every firm will be needing to power their computers and printers and to keep their customers and staff warm, so will be needing a commercial energy supply of electricity and gas.

However, the supply is also one of the biggest expenses facing every firm and organisation and prices fluctuate on a regular basis, but there are ways to lower these bills.

The easiest way is to speak with the experts at D-Energi who can search the entire marketplace and find a better deal to meet your needs, which will lead to substantial savings.

The savings can be enjoyed by firms of all sizes, even a micro business or a one-man band, for example.

Cheaper commercial energy quote

Accessing a cheaper commercial energy quote is easy because you’ll need just a few details, particularly the meter number and your current contract details.

There are comparison sites for businesses to use to find a cheaper supplier but you will still have to speak with a provider when using these and the site may not search the whole marketplace.

This means that cheaper and better providers may be available and they may also offer other attractive benefits such as a consultancy to help you use less energy and enjoy reduced bills over the longer term.

As mentioned, prices do fluctuate and commercial energy quotes will depend on your energy usage, the industry you are in and your location.

For more help and information about understanding commercial energy prices, then you should speak with the D-Energi team.
