The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Are All Commercial Electricity Rates the Same?

by D-ENERGi

It would be tempting to believe that all commercial electricity rates are the same, or are fairly similar, but this would be wrong.

There are a number of factors that affect the price of electricity supplied to your business premises – including its location, how much energy you use, how many employees you have and what deals are available.

Also, firms need to appreciate that comparing cheap business electricity tariffs and prices for a commercial enterprise is not as straightforward as the process is for supplying our homes.

Among the reasons for this is that there are a greater number of business electricity plans available than there are for domestic users.

However, finding the electricity plan that’s right for you and your business and how much it will cost will take some effort.

Accessing a cheap commercial electricity quote

When it comes to accessing a cheap commercial electricity quote for your needs, you need to speak with the team at D-Energi.

That’s because they have the expertise necessary for understanding what your current and future business needs are for electricity supply so they can then search the entire marketplace to find the best deal that will meet these needs.

That’s not quite the case should you opt to use an online comparison site to find a cheaper electricity provider because the site may not be searching all of the potential providers so there could be better and cheaper deals available.

Also, contacting electricity providers directly could be a time-consuming, hit-and-miss affair trying to find the deal that is right for you and if you restrict this search to the ‘Big Six’ suppliers, then you may find that their deals are fairly similar.

Electric prices have a significant effect on a firm’s overheads

There’s no doubt that electric prices have a significant effect on a firm’s overheads, so it’s worth the time and trouble finding a provider with lower rates and other potential incentives for switching to them. Among these could be the opportunity of an energy consultancy to help you reduce your electricity consumption to help deliver even greater savings.

It’s always worth shopping around potential suppliers to obtain several quotes and also contacting the D-Energi team to find a deal that is most suitable for meeting your needs.

If you would like more help and information when it comes to commercial electricity rates and switching to a cheaper deal to reduce your firm’s overheads, then you need to contact the experts at D-Energi.
