The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

Access a Lower Commercial Electricity Quote

In a bid to reduce overheads, all firms should be looking to access a lower commercial electricity quote when their current provider tells them of the next year’s contract details.

This is the opportunity to see what other potential electricity providers will offer and it’s a way to substantially reduce your current electricity bill.

The savings will vary depending on your geographic location and the industry you’re in, but even a microbusiness should be able to shave a substantial sum from their electricity costs.

In larger businesses, particularly those with more than one premises, you could save thousands of pounds by simply switching electricity providers. The process to do so can take just a few minutes on the phone.

Access cheaper electric prices

So, how does a business access these cheaper electric prices for their everyday needs? The best way is to contact the D-Energi team to find out what the best offers are for your needs.

Since energy costs are one of the largest outgoings for firms, it makes sense to know what your options are and then check the latest electricity deals for business on a regular basis.

But why should a busy business owner take time to research the market and then undertake a switch to a new electricity supplier?

The simple answer is that your electricity costs have probably been rising in recent years and this gives an opportunity to switch to a cheaper provider and save money.

Supplier offering lower commercial electricity rates

But how big will the savings be with a supplier offering lower commercial electricity rates?

The simple answer is, it will vary but they could be substantial if your current electricity bill is very large. If you have more than one premises then there could be huge savings to be made.

One of the big issues in the search for cheaper electricity is the mistaken belief that the electricity supply will be disrupted when you switch providers but this will not happen.

Your business will simply receive an electricity bill from a different provider and there’s no disruption in the supply whatsoever – even if you have more than one premises.

If you would like more information about how you can access a lower commercial electricity quote, then you need to speak with the experts at D-Energi today.
