The Energy Bill Relief Scheme

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure our prospective and existing customers and clarify the following on the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS):

  • The Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) applies to fixed contracts agreed on or after 1st December 2021 as well as to deemed, variable and flexible tariffs and contracts. It will apply to energy usage from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023, running for an initial six-month period for all non domestic energy users..
  • All energy suppliers will apply the same discount. This discount will automatically appear on your statements. Customers do not need to apply for the scheme or contact us.
  • The BEIS department recommends all customers continue to enter into fixed price agreements as normal to shield businesses from future wholesale price increases. This way we can ensure all our customers are protected from the volatility in the current wholesale market.
  • For customers who qualify for the Energy Bill Relief Scheme we kindly ask all qualifying customers to provide us with monthly gas and / or electricity meter reads until end of the scheme. This should be done ideally on the first day of the month or no later than the 10th.This will be a great help to get your bills as accurate as possible and ensure we apply the right discount throughout the scheme period.

2020’s Best Half Hourly Electricity Prices

by D-ENERGi

When it comes to sourcing the best half hourly electricity prices in 2020, then a specialist knowledge of this part of the energy sector will be required.

Indeed, this knowledge issue is underlined by Ofgem, the industry regulator, who says that firms and organisations should seek the help of brokers and those who understand how this market works.

One of the most effective ways to do so is to use the expertise of the D-Energi team who have years of helping firms just like yours enjoy lower half-hourly electricity tariffs.

Firstly, the procurement process for half-hourly suppliers is different than smaller businesses will experience and there’s also a need for half-hourly meters.

Half hourly electricity meters installed

These half hourly electricity meters are installed on the premises of large users of electricity – these users are defined as having a peak demand of 100 kW and for firms with a lower demand of 70 kW can also apply to have half-hour meters fitted.

There are numbers of benefits to having these meters, including:

  • A half-hourly meter will record your firm’s electricity consumption accurately
  • This means there are no more estimated bills
  • A potential supplier can access this data to put together a bespoke deal.

Also, your business can check the information using various software packages to see when your peak periods of demand are and then look at taking steps to reduce this consumption and reduce your bill.

Search all half hourly electricity suppliers in the UK

There’s also a need to search all half hourly electricity suppliers in the UK to compare business electricity prices in a bid to find the cheapest tariff.

The best time to do this is around six months before your current contract comes to an end, so this gives you time to search the market and complete the procurement process properly.

In addition, you can also search https://handymanconnection.com/ for those half-hourly providers offering other incentives, such as a dedicated account manager to help you run your electricity account effectively.

You may also find a half-hourly supplier offering an energy consultancy, so you will effectively reduce your firm’s overall consumption and deliver a boost your savings.

For more help when it comes to finding the best half-hourly prices for business in 2020, then you need to speak with the experts at D-Energi so put them to the test today.
